Loved listening to this book on Librivox last year. I am still confused by the ending.
Did the kid die, or become unpossessed? or??? What happened exactly?

I love this unreliable narrator and how everything is open to interpretation. Did the narrator imagine the ghosts? Was she the abuser? Were the children possessed at all? It just keeps on giving with every re-read and new adaptation.

So true. Did you see this adaptation though? It was super creepy how he's like stroking the bread and the kid is all weird. I totally didn't get the pedo thing from the book, but is that something I just overlooked? Cause this film seems to think it was an important part. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zE_CovbXpCs

I want to buy this version, it's in my cart for when i need a present for myself. hahhaa. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPl060HhRzsColin Firth and the chick from Daniel Deronda... I like her a lot. It seems promising. Do you have it/have you seen it? Is it a good one?

I have to check on this one. There are abuse vibes in some of the versions for sure. The Innocents is the best adaptation.
