Thought the general populace might be amused to hear the very first adaptation of an H.P. Lovecraft story into another medium, the 1945 radio broadcast of The Dunwich Horror on the Suspense! radio program.
Suspense! ran for twenty years on radio, from 6/14/42 to 9/30/62. Its final episode was immediately followed by the final episode of the murder mystery program, Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, ending the era of what has come to be known as Old Time Radio. Suspense! was one of many radio shows to be adapted to television in the 1950s and beyond. It ran for six seasons, from 1949 to 1954. Both radio and TV versions included appearances by many major Hollywood stars.
This episode stars Oscar winner (1947, A Double Life) Ronald Colman, and was aired on 11/1/45. Enjoy!

I love The Shadow. I think we still have some of the cassettes of the old show. On the Echo there are stations you can add on so Alexa can play some suspense theatre and the like. It's fun.
